Morning
There are days when I just abhore mornings. :P Today's better than most though, at least my best friend is talking to me again. Well, anyway that's personal stuff and I don't particularly want to let everyone in the whole world know about all that, so let me see... Hrm...
Work Is Annoying! I work as basically a receptionist for my university in the advisement center for the college of my major. This has some wonderful advantages, I can probably advise myself fairly well, and I'm fairly current with school news and I'm able to get information about things that otherwise would be difficult. Its pretty nifty when all is said and done. The people are great, but the pay and the job security stink. Having a state budget that's 3 billion dollars in the red is probably the only reason I don't have some job security.
Anyway, the thing that bugs me most about my job is the phone calls from people who like to think they have a clue when in truth they don't have anything close to one. These people typically get rude in a hurry and I cannot abide by that. Just because something isn't going your way... that's no reason to beat up the person on the other end of the phone line verbally. I guess that's society though. The squeeky wheels get all the greese. Life goes on... la de da... Sorry my mind wanders. I guess this little rant is done for today.

Unethical Companies
Today I recieved a letter. This letter contained something that seemed very much like a billing statement, and a request for approximately $70 dollars to get my website signed up with all the major search engines. WHAT A HOAX! The major search engines routinely update their listings, and this company, Internet Search Registry, is essentially fleecing people out of their hard earned money for a service which isn't necessarily in need of being provided! What kind of buisness ethics classes did they take?! It's ridiculous, paying them puts you in a binding contract with them, and to discontinue "service" you have to send them a written request, e-mail is unacceptable, as are phone calls. So, you essentially pay $70 for -nothing- and then you're stuck getting this so called service for at least a year, or until you read the fine print and realize you need to write them a real letter. There is a small message, easily looked over, in the upper right hand of what appears to be the billing statement, which says that the letter is a solicitation. But everything else on the page is geared towards scamming people out of money. It frustrates me as a business major to get this type of trash in my mail. This one company gives legitimate web business a bad name. So go find a real sheep to fleece, Internet Search Registry, this is only little lamb who knows you're a crock.

Lalala, boreing aren't I? I don't even update. :P Anyway, storm sirens are going off outside so I can't sleep and my best friend is sending me links to all sorts of personality quizes so I figure I'll post a few of 'em here. More yawn-ness I know, but what can I say I lead a pretty boreing life. :D

Hi hi, I'm obviously still working on this... it'll be ages and ages before I'll feel at all comfie with doing anything in HTML, though I'll probably try some minor things later on... Anyway... this is just to get me started. :)
